CLUB CAR'S NEW SINGLE-POINT BATTERY WATERING SYSTEM SAVES TIME, MONEY AND IMPROVES PERFORMANCE Batteries are the lifeblood of any electric golf car fleet, which makes Club Car’s new single-point battery watering system one of the golf course’s most important accessories. The system, developed for Club Car by Flow-Rite Controls, a leading manufacturer of fluid control products, saves golf courses time and money and improves the performance and life of golf cars’ lead-acid batteries. The system’s interconnected valve apparatus eliminates the need to remove the caps before adding water to batteries. The valves act independently during the filling process to sense the correct water level and shut off water flow to the cells. The process to fill a car’s batteries takes approximately 20 seconds per vehicle, compared to several minutes per vehicle without a single-point system. The system improves the life and performance of the vehicle’s batteries because it helps keep the proper water levels in the batteries for longer periods. By decreasing the possibility of overfilling, the system also reduces the likelihood of costly acid corrosion damage. Customers now have the option of choosing the single-point watering system or a bag protector as a standard accessory. The system also can be ordered through Club Car’s aftermarket department and installed in the field. |
