FAIRPLAY ELECTRIC CARS CHARITY GIVE AWAY

Fairplay Electric Cars, LLC of Grand Junction, Colorado teamed up with Golf Car Advisor with a mission to give away a two person electric vehicle to a worthy non-profit group.

"In our current economy many non-profits and charity groups lack funds to purchase equipment. We thought we could help by giving away a car this year”, says Ryan Alexander, National Sales Manager for Fairplay Electric Cars of Grand Junction, Colorado.

We reviewed applicants from across the country and selected White Memorial Camp, Council Grove, Kansas, a place where developmentally challenged adults experience the great outdoors. The program is staffed by mostly volunteers and counselors with limited paid staff.

"Hiking is difficult for many of the camp members so the Fairplay electric vehicle will come in handy to get our campers around,” says Sara Shaw, camp director. "We have an older gas golf car that doesn’t always run, so this new electric car will be handy to move equipment and campers.”

Fairplay originally planned to give away a 2- person golf car but once the camp described their need it became obvious they needed a vehicle to move gear and 4 people.

"The GOAT HV was the best choice for the camp, so we installed an extra set of seat belts to the rear facing seat kit and were able to provide the best vehicle for their needs,” reported Keith Andrews, President of Fairplay.

"We are working with Golf Car Advisor on a new and exciting give away program for the middle of 2010,” added Andrews.
