GOLF CAR INDUSTRY MOURNS THE LOSS OF J.C. MARTIN

Jeff C. Martin, known by most everyone as J.C, passed away on February 1, 2007 at the age of 77. He had been in Florida attending the PGA Merchandise Show. JC, his wife Janet and a group of friends had remained in Florida for a short vacation when he died suddenly after finishing a game of golf.

J.C. had more than 50 years experience in the golf car industry and was very knowledgeable about every facet of the business from manufacturing to sales and marketing. His early days were spent as a Harley-Davidson dealer in the 1960’s. He established Carolina Golf Cars in 1983, which he later sold in 1995. He then helped establish Custom Golf Car Supply, a golf car accessories manufacturer that continues to grow every year under the guidance of his wife, Janet, and son, Steve. Most recently he started National Golf Cars in 1996, a sales, service and remanufacturing facility, which is operated by his son, Keith. Anyone with any knowledge of the golf car industry knew J.C.Martin. He will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune of meeting him.. He is survived by his wife, Janet, his sons Keith (Debra) and Steve (Elaine), four grandchildren; Michelle, Lauren, Holli and Joshua; and two great-grandchildren; Connor and Allysa.
