Yamaha Golf-Car Company announces the release of 2 new vehicles for 2006 and a major step in product enhancement

With the release of the G-MAX PTV, "Personal Transport Vehicle," Yamaha Golf-Car Company has become the first golf car manufacturer to market and offer, for retail, a vehicle built to ANSI Z-135 specifications.

"Yamaha Golf-Car Company has now established itself as the industry leader by offering a PTV package that meets the ANSI Z-135 specifications for non-golf course use," explains William Scoggins, Marketing and Product Planning Manager for the Newnan, GA based golf car and utility vehicle manufacturer.

The G-MAX PTV package offers an additional private speed mode that gives a top speed of 19.5 mph. In addition, the Yamaha Genius2 software will now offer a total of 30 combinations of regenerative braking and speed adjustments for maximum versatility. Other standard features include headlights, taillights, and side reflectors for improved nighttime visibility, and a horn.

Yamaha Golf-Car Company is also pleased to announce the release of the G-MAX Limited Edition G22 golf car. In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Motor Company, the parent company, Yamaha Golf-Car Company will offer a Limited Edition version of the G-MAX line of golf cars. "A very limited number of gas and electric G-MAX Limited Edition vehicles will be produced from January 2006 thru April 2006," says Scoggins.

The G-MAX Limited Edition vehicle has many features exclusive to the product. These features include a "Pure White" body, powdered chrome wheels, chrome hubcaps, black suntop struts, tan suntop, tan seats, and limited edition decal. Optional equipment will include Chevron fleet number decals and 3D dome coated club logo located on the front body. In other product related news, Yamaha also announces that effective January 1, 2006 the Yamaha G-MAX electric golf car will be powered by Trojan batteries. "With the change to Trojan, we are again setting an industry standard. The combination of six T-875's and a 4 year/1000 round warranty means Yamaha Golf-Car Company will offer the highest capacity and best warranty in the business," says Scoggins.
