Initial exhibitor and retailer sign-ups indicate a fresh, new show with 39% new retailers and 25% new exhibitors
Fueled by an exceptionally strong content plan, Dealer Expo 2014 announces exhibitor and attendee achievements following initial retailer registration and exhibitor sales drives. To be held Dec. 4-7 in Chicago, 111., Dealer Expo will offer participants precisely what the industry has requested for its annual trade event: more new products and more retailers, as well as in-depth retail training to drive industry sales.
Over 125 companies across a variety of market segments — including Arlen Ness, Rinehart Racing, Gas Gas USA, National Cycle, Maxxis, LS2 Helmets, Yuasa Battery, Danny Gray and ADP Lightspeed – have signed up to exhibit at Dealer Expo 2014. One in every four exhibitors is new to the 2014 show.
“The diversity of our customer commitment is due the appeal of the new show format,” said Tracy Harris, senior vice president of the Advanstar Powersports Group. “Additionally, we’ve added people well-known in the industry – Grady Pfeiffer, Gary Gustafson and Carolyn Hewitt – to connect with new customers and strengthen relationships with long-term clients. We’ve been able to spend more time with each customer to develop a show experience tailored to meet their needs.”
New exhibitors include ABUS Mobile Security, Backer Heating Technologies, Boss Audio Systems, Fat Baggers, Grail Engine Technologies, Gravitate Jeans, Mattracks, SilverWolf, Super ATV, Terracross Racing and XV Powersports.
Additional returning exhibitors include Dominion Powersports, Fulmer Helmets, Carroll Companies, Power Sports Alliance, American Sportworks, The Carlson Company, Sym/ Alliance, US Titan and Belt Drives.
Many have cited the this year’s emphasis on creating forums to increase exhibitor:attendee interaction, such as the New Product Showcase, the Brand Forums and the many evening networking events as reasons for exhibiting.
Nearly 2,200 retailers have already registered for Dealer Expo, including top U.S. dealers Skagit Powersports, Killeen Power Sports, First Coast Powersports, Reynolds Motorsports, McGrath Powersports and Nielsen Enterprises, as well as international retailers Moto Internationale, Blue Dream SRL and Motosal.
The number of new retailers registered is high – 39% have either never attended Dealer Expo or haven’t been in more than two years.
“Offering an exclusive, high-value conference and feature program has been a key factor in securing interest from retailers,” said Mary Slepicka, group content director and publisher of Dealernews. “Retailers today just don’t have the time or money to spend on anything that doesn’t deliver tangible value to their business. The information and training presented during Dealer Expo’s National Retail Conference will provide that value.”
Dealer Expo will be held Friday, Dec. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 7 at McCormick Place West in downtown Chicago. It will be preceded by the one-day DX National Retail Conference on Thursday, Dec. 4, hosted and organized by Dealernews. All registered retail attendees are invited to the DX National Retail Conference educational sessions free of charge.
