Nivel Parts and Manufacturing’s Strategy for Success

Starting out as a single Cushman dealership in 1968, Nivel Parts and Manufacturing has been hard at work for the past fifty years, growing to be North America’s largest provider of golf car parts and accessories while constantly pursuing excellence in innovation, operational efficiency, and superior service.

What does it take to be an industry leader for fifty years? Over the last twenty years, Nivel built up a global sourcing network of over 400 suppliers and acquired top manufacturers to ensure quality and choice. They seek out industry-leading R&D, tech, manufacturing and distribution experts to design products that meet market demands and deliver them competitively.

For the past three years, Nivel has used the PGA Merchandise Show to showcase its newest products and concepts. In 2018, dealers, partners, and friends in the industry celebrated Nivel’s fiftieth anniversary and got a hands-on look at five carts with the latest accessories. Highlighted at the event were accessories to customize Yamaha’s new Drive2 like LED headlights featuring sleek automotive styling complete with daytime running lights. The Road to Innovation event was also an opportunity for Nivel representatives to talk one-on-one with dealers and get their valuable feedback on products. MJFX’s Black Hawk Wheels and Inserts, Jake’s color match Baja Cage and Door Kits, Triple Track tops, TXT/T48 Stretch Kits, the Summit Series II Onboard Charger, and the release of Nivel’s exclusive AC/DC Performance Packages were well-received by dealers on the event floor.

Behind Nivel’s passion for innovation is its passion for building relationships. Nivel has learned that true innovation doesn’t happen if trust and reliability aren’t established first. This foundation is the focus of new CEO, Brent Moore. Brent’s drive has always been to innovate and improve upon the user experience. Achieving that success comes not only from speaking to those points, but knowing how to execute them as well. This success is something that has to happen from the top down, and Moore is known for leading by example. “It’s always essential to understand the people that are doing the work on a daily basis. Nobody can understand what he or she’s doing better than they, so to get their input and understand how our actions affect them and what we can do to improve that is what drives the culture we want to grow,” he says. Once those barriers are removed, Moore says people can work towards being accountable to themselves, their teammates, and encourage other employees within the company. As a result, the opportunity for innovation presents itself, be it new products or developing more efficient processes.

From relationships come innovation, and from innovation comes opportunity. Nivel’s plans include expanding into new markets, growing its product offering, and delivering exceptional service.
This year, Nivel will bring hundreds of new products to the market. Nivel’s focus is to be a valuable asset to dealers and be an engaged partner in their success. When asked what Brent Moore values most, his response was sincere and straightforward, “Seeing people succeed as a direct result of their work and participation is extremely fulfilling. Both internally within Nivel and externally as our customers succeed in their own lives and businesses.”
