A one-of-a-kind lithium golf cart battery
We are introducing the RELiON ELiTE 48V battery this year and will follow with 12V, 24V, and 36V models soon after for a complete platform. Designed specifically for golf carts, it is also compatible with other similar applications, such as AGVs and utility vehicles. Unlike other lithium brands, many of which opt for off-the-shelf BMS solutions, we’ve retained complete control of BMS design and development, supplementing our own lithium expertise with that of other Navico Group power brands, such as Mastervolt. The result is a supremely capable, safety-enhancing BMS built specifically for the RELiON ELiTE battery series.

Engineered for ease
With drop-in installation and GC2 casing, no modifications to golf cart battery compartments are required, reducing integration costs and making the ELiTE the battery of choice for users who want plug-and-play performance. Once installed, LED indicators also provide clear insight into the charge state, so you know exactly where your battery levels are at. Whereas other manufacturers utilize steel cases that lock users into certain battery configurations, the ELiTE’s GC2 casing facilitates easy scaling. Users can connect batteries in parallel and customize their battery bank depending on desired runtime or mileage.

Similarly, the ELiTE simplifies maintenance should a battery fail. While larger capacity one-pack batteries limit your ability to isolate faults, the ELiTE’s parallel connections mean an issue with one battery will not prevent you from using the others. Outperforming older battery chemistries
The lithium vs lead-acid debate was settled a long time ago. Most users now recognize lithium outperforms lead-acid and represents a more cost-effective long-term investment. With this in mind, we won’t rehash the whole lithium lead-acid argument, but we will make a few salient points.
RELiON lithium batteries typically weigh one-third less and provide up to 50% more energy than traditional lead-acid batteries. The power-to-weight ratio ensures they are highly efficient, as does their super low resistance, which allows for 99% charging efficiency. Lithium batteries also provide 100% of their rated capacity, regardless of the rate of discharge. In contrast, lead-acid batteries provide less usable energy at higher rates of discharge and are frequently limited to 50% of their rated capacity to prevent premature degradation and a diminished lifespan. Arguably most importantly, RELiON lithium batteries last up to ten times as long as lead-acid equivalents, running for 3,500 cycles as opposed to lead-acid batteries’ 300 – 400 cycles.
The conclusion? Lithium outperforms lead-acid in almost every metric. And RELiON ELiTE is the smart lithium choice.
