DRIVING A NATION FORWARD

Golf cars are quickly being substituted for utility vehicles around neighborhoods, lakes, and large acreage properties. Typically it can be hard to find an attractive, affordable, rugged utility vehicle, especially one that is American Made. But, there is one brand that stands out amongst other manufacturers, and they’re called American LandMaster.

American LandMaster is known for creating quality, American-made utility vehicles, at a price that is affordable. They’ve been building utility vehicles for over 20 years with a niche in creating affordable, versatile vehicles that are made in the USA. More specifically, they source American steel-tubing to fabricate, weld, powder coat, and assemble all of their vehicles at their manufacturing plant in Columbia City, IN. “We’re excited to continue growing our business so we can invest in more American jobs, and impact the lives of others across our nation. Many of our customers that use their vehicle are physically impaired, older, or just want something memorable to do with their family. Because we’re creating a product that directly impacts the quality of our customers lives, we put our whole heart into it daily to ensure that it leaves our facility ready to change the world.” says David Piercy, Marketing Director for American LandMaster.

American LandMaster offers a wide assortment of vehicles including gas powered 2WD, 4WD, and CREW units. They also offer a 2WD 48 Volt Electric powered UTV.

“We have a wide-range of vehicles for our customers to select from. This helps the customer find a vehicle that matches their work load, budget, family size, and lifestyle. If you just need to drive around your property and do light utility work, you won’t need anything more than our Landstar 350. The 350 comes with a 277cc Kohler engine and has the capability to haul 400lbs in the bed, and tow up to 1,100 lbs. The starting price is only $5,499. For those that need a more aggressive, high-powered machine, we have the Landstar 700. This comes with a 694cc EFI Kohler engine, on-demand 4WD, and power steering. The 700 retails for only $8,999” says David.

American LandMaster prides themselves as being the industry leader in both Power & Value across the UTV space. Another area where they offer value, is all of their utility vehicles include a top and windshield. On average this can be a $650 to $800 additional charge from other UTV manufacturers.

Their value becomes even more impressive as you start to dig into their product. Each American LandMaster vehicle is built with American name-brand components, hence why their nickname is “The American Workhorse”. Some of these components consist of Kohler engines, Briggs & Stratton engines, (Timken) Carlisle belts, Schafer trans-axles, and CVT. As for their electric unit, they use 6 Trojan 8Volt Batteries to power the UTV.

These vehicles can be used in a variety of different ways. Typically, David says, their vehicles are used for residential property maintenance. However, they also have a large segment of their customers that use their vehicles for farming and leisure/recreation. “Property maintenance customers love our product because it is easy to get in and out of the machine and they can haul around their equipment, mulch, dirt, and anything else much quicker.” says David. “We also get a lot of feedback on how our customers love using them around the lake, neighborhoods, or communities. In some townships, these can be a way to get around the town without having to jump in your car. This makes ordinary trips to the grocery, coffee shop, or wherever much more exciting. We love creating vehicles that change peoples lives, and create memories for their family and friends.” says David.

How Do Your UTVs Compare To A Golf Car?

As for how their UTVs compare to a golf car… well these vehicles can handle a lot more than a typical golf car. You’ll be able to haul more, tow more, and still have a vehicle for recreational purposes. The chassis on their utility vehicles are made of nearly 2” thick steel tubes designed to handle large load capacities, heavy towing, and rough terrains. In addition, their overhead bars are also nearly 2” thick steel tubes designed for rollover protection. Their UTVs also come standard with seatbelts, where golf cars do not. “If you roll over in a golf car you’re definitely going to bend your overhead bars, and possibly get injured. If you roll over in our UTV, you’re going to be protected both by our seatbelts and our overhead bar construction.” says David.

All their vehicles, except the 350, can be configured with four different dump-able bed options. Their standard bed is the poly (rust-free) bed. Then you can upgrade to a steel flat bed, steel bed with a tailgate, or the flip-seat dump bed which adds an additional two people on the back of your UTV. This is one of their most popular bed options. “Having these bed options that are dump-able is a huge advantage over a golf car.” says David. In addition, American LandMaster UTVs typically go an average of 22-24mph. A golf car will max out at about 15mph.

Having the ability to go off-road knowing that you’re not going to get stuck, breakdown, or have insufficient power to climb hills, is what separates us from a golf car. Not only that, but you get a whole lot more for your dollar spent. With our average price around $6,500, you’re getting a ton of power, functionality, and comfort over a golf car. Used golf cars typically start around that price.

So whether you’re a farmer, large-acreage owner, hunter, or just want a UTV for fun, American LandMaster has affordable vehicles built for you. For those of you that have been thinking of buying a golf car, you may want to stop and take some time to test drive one of American LandMaster’s UTVs instead.
