New U.S.-engineered and assembled 650-watt platform supports multiple battery chemistries,
vehicle-system integration, configurable status indicators, field diagnostics, and software updates.
LINCOLN, NE (August, 2026) — Lester Electrical has introduced Ascendrix™, a U.S.-engineered and assembled charging platform for golf-car, personal transportation vehicle and low-speed vehicle manufacturers. Ascendrix gives OEMs a common charger architecture for multiple vehicle and battery configurations while addressing dealer demand for U.S.-assembled vehicles and charging systems.
The initial Ascendrix models are rated at 650 watts and support 24-, 36-, and 48-volt systems. Available charging profiles support flooded lead-acid, AGM, gel, and lithium batteries, as well as custom profiles.
Ascendrix provides controller area network (CAN) communication, battery management system (BMS) integration and BMS wake functionality. RGB LED control provides a next-generation user interface experience (UIX) and an integrated USB Type-C port enables service technicians to perform diagnostics and install charger software updates in the field.
For dealers, fleet operators and service technicians, those capabilities are designed to simplify charger service over the life of the vehicle. They are particularly relevant to fleets operating at golf courses, resorts, campuses, commercial properties and residential communities, where uptime and straightforward maintenance are priorities.
“Manufacturers are supporting more battery options and more electronics, while dealers and fleets expect equipment to be easier to service,” said Spencer Stock, president and CEO. “Ascendrix gives OEMs a platform they can apply across vehicle lines while providing dealers and fleet technicians with tools to support those vehicles as they change.”
For vehicle manufacturers, Ascendrix provides a common charging architecture across multiple models and battery configurations, reducing the need to engineer and support a separate charger for each vehicle line. The platform also offers expansion options, EV Charger (EVSE) compatibility and a 48-month warranty backed by Lester Electrical’s Nebraska-based engineering and support teams.
The platform was designed and engineered at Lester Electrical’s headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska, where production units are tested and assembled. Ascendrix builds on Lester Electrical’s six decades in the golf-car market. The company supplied some of its earliest golf-car chargers in the 1960s and today works with vehicle manufacturers, dealers, fleets and service organizations. Its product portfolio includes chargers, AC and DC cordsets and receptacle systems, USB chargers and battery diagnostic products. The facility operates under an ISO 9001-certified quality management system and includes an on-site testing laboratory approved by the California Energy Commission (CEC).
The initial 650-watt Ascendrix models are now available to OEMs for evaluation. Manufacturers can request specifications and evaluation units by contacting Lester Electrical. More information is available at www.LesterElectrical.com/Products/Ascendrix/.
