JINHUA SUNCART SETTLES WITH TEXTRON SPECIALIZED VEHICLES INC. AND ITS COMPLAINT FOR INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RELATED TO E-Z-GO® RXV GOLF-CAR PLATFORM

AUGUSTA, GA, USA — Jinhua Suncart and three other defendants have settled a legal complaint filed by Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, for infringement of patents related to TSV’s E-Z-GO® RXV® golf-car platform.

Under the terms of the agreement, Jinhua Suncart and the other defendants – Vitacci Motorcycles Inc., Cougar International Inc., and TPSP LLC, doing business as Turbo Powersports – will stop sales of all products within the scope of the complaint filed by TSVenforcing patents that protect the unique technology used in the RXV models. The defendants also will stop using E-Z-GO’s registered RXV® and TXT® trademarks and remove all online listings that promote the products named in the complaint.

The settlement resolves a complaint filed by TSV in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. “TSV will vigorously defend its intellectual property, which is the direct result of our investment to generate innovation for our products in the golf-car industry and other industries we serve,” said TSV General Counsel Rocco Sica. “These companies were investigated for copying technologies developed through a substantial investment of time and money. Our investments enable TSV to bring our products to market and serve the needs of our customers. “We warn other parties that are copying our innovations that we are watching, and we will take any appropriate actions necessary to protect the innovations which our employees have dedicated their careers to create.”
